Instructions
for
Stretch & Company's
"Sports Hat" By Stretch The Balloon
Dude
For This Sculpture You Will Need:
1 - White 11
Inch Round
2 - White 260
Instructions:
1.
Inflate 2 White 260's leaving about 2 inches un-inflated.
Inflate a White 11" Round to about 9 or 10 inches
so it is round and not oval shaped.
2.
Take one 260 and twist a 3 inch bubble followed by a small
round bubble on the nozzle end.
3.
Make the small round bubble a pinch twist.
4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the second 260.
5.
Turn the 260's so they are facing opposite directions
and then twist about a bubble that is long enough to go
halfway around the head of whoever the hat if being made
for. Lock the point where this balloon is twisted into
the pinch twist of the other 260.
6.
Repeat step 5 with the second 260 by twisting another
bubble the same length as the long one you made in the
first 260 and then locking this long bubble into the pinch
twist of the first 260.
7.
The opening created where the two balloons overlap will
be the base of the hat.
8.
Take the two long bubbles that are sticking up and bring
them together forming an "X" and then twist
them together where they overlap.
9.
Twist a small round bubble in the remaining portion of
each bubble and then make these into pinch twists.
10.
Twist about a 4 inch bubble on the end of each 260 and
then twist a small round bubble that you will then make
into a pinch twist.
11.
Twist a small bubble on the end of each 260 and then form
a loop twist by twisting the small bubble into the pinch
twist you just made.
12.
Add artwork to your 11" Round to make it look like
a baseball with a face and then twist it into the 2 pinch
twists at the where the two balloons intersect. Voila!
You have a fun baseball sports hat. You can change the
colors of the arms and legs to match your favorite team,
or simply draw the hat to look like their hat.
13. Change
the colors to orange and you can have a basketball sports
hat. Of course, you can use this hat for any sport that
uses a round ball by simply changing the colors and artwork
to create a soccer ball, volleyball or whatever you like.
