Instructions
for
Stretch & Company's
"Alien Bug Hat"
By Stretch The Balloon
Dude
|
This is a fun,
fast hat that is always a hit. It takes not time to make,
but plays big because of it's playful, silly appearance.
Use colors that fit the event such as team colors for
a sporting event, or use whatever colors you like to make
it stand out. |
|
|
| 1.
Inflate two 260s leaving about 4 inches un-inflated on
the ends and then inflate a 5 inch round to about 3 inches
and a white 5 inch round to about an inch. |
2.
Tie the nozzle ends of the 260s together. I like to trim
off the excess to keep in neat and clean.
|
|
|
| 3.
Twist about a 5 inch, soft bubble in each of the 260s. |
4.
Twist these two bubbles together at the twists. |
|
|
| 5.
Bring the tied ends of the two bubbles to meet where they
are twisted together. |
6.
Twist them together to form two large fold twists. |
|
|
| 7.
Measure around the persons head and twist a large bubble
in each balloon where they cross over. |
8.
Twist these two large bubbles together to form the portion
of the hat that will fit around the person's head. |
|
|
| 9.
Twist a small, round bubble from one of the two ends where
you just twisted the two balloons together. |
10.
Twist this small, round bubble into a pinch twist. This
will make the two end pieces stand up in tha back of the
hat. |
|
|
| 11.
Atttach the larger 5 inch round to the hat by twisting
the nozzle into the two fold twists. |
12.
Take the smaller, white 5 inch round and divide it into
two equal sized bubble, making sure to twist the knot
into the middle of the two bubbles. This will be the eyes
on your hat. |
|
|
| 13.
Attach the eyes to the hat by one around each side of
the two fold twists and then twisting the two bubbles
together to lock them into place. |
14.
Add artwork to the face and add personality to the tails
by shaping them however you like and pulling bubbles onto
the ends if you like. |
