Instructions for the

“Twisted Haunted House"
By Cam Woody, CBA

Labor: About 20 Minutes
Helium: About 2.4 cu. ft.

Materials:

1-31" “Haunted House” Microfoil® Shape (67007)
8-11" Onyx Black Latex Balloons (43737)
1-11" “Happy Jack” Latex Balloon (88571)
1-646Q Giant Airship Onyx Black Latex Balloon (75452)
3 160Q Lime Green Latex Balloons (79696)
Sand Weight

Tips:

• Place at entrances, checkouts, and around the store for increased sales!

• Replace some of the Onyx Black latex with Lime Green and even Mandarin Orange for added impact.

• Display the “Party Jack & Bat” Microfoil Shape (67009) near the “Twisted Haunted House” to boost single-balloon sales.

Instructions:
1. Helium inflate the 646Q, leaving 1" uninflated, and tie to a sand weight.
2. Helium inflate the 31" shape and tie to the opposite end of the 646Q.
3. Wrap a 4-balloon cluster of air-filled 11" latex sized to 8" onto the knot between the 646Q and the weight. Repeat to add a second cluster at the knot between the Microfoil shape and the 646Q.
4. Make three Curly 160Qs. Wrap the knot of the first 160Q around the center of the top cluster. Wind the rest of the 160Q down around the 646Q. Wrap the knot of the second Curly 160Q around the bottom cluster and wind up around the 646Q. Arrange the third Curly 160Q as desired around the bottom 4-balloon cluster.
OPTIONAL:
5.
Under inflate the 11" “Happy Jack” to 6". NOTE: Make sure to push the air into the top of the balloon so the entire face is showing. Tie into the bottom cluster.

Instructions for the

"Wicked Witch Bouquet/Centerpiece"
By Jan Iiams, CBA

INTRODUCTION:
Add sparkle and interest to a bouquet arrangement by using a beautiful combination of latex and foils and a variety of sizes of both.
APPLICATIONS:
• Halloween centerpiece
• Merchandising display
PRO TIP:
This design tangles less since ribbons are shorter and attached vertically rather than in a random pattern.

Materials and Equipment:
1-36” (92cm) Holographic foil
3-11” (28cm) printed latex
1-48” (66cm) special shape foil
1-9” (23cm) foil
8-5” (12cm) latex
2 un-inflated 260s
1 Control Plastics heavy bouquet weight
4 Clik-Clik Adhesive Balloon Tabs
Curling ribbon

Step By Step:
1. Prepare the weighted base as follows: air fill two 5” (12cm) latex balloons and tie the necks together to form a duplet. Create a second duplet and twist the necks together to create a cluster of four.
2. Prepare a second 5” (12cm) cluster of four.
3. Add two Clik-Clik Adhesive Tabs facing each other at the top of a 9” (23cm) foil balloon and air fill the balloon, heat sealing the neck.
4. Tie a heavy weight under one of the 5” (12cm) clusters with a section of un-inflated 260 and tie the 9” (23cm) foil balloon securely to the top of the cluster with another section of un-inflated 260.
5. Helium fill a 36” (92cm) foil balloon and tie the neck with curling ribbon.
6. Treat three 11” (28cm) printed latex with Ultra HI-FLOAT using the proper restriction clip to measure the application. Helium fill and tie the 11” (28cm) latex balloons with curling ribbon. Arrange the latex balloons to float on the same level under the 3’ foil.
7. At the top of the special shape foil, add two Clik-Clik Adhesive Tabs facing each other, lining up the holes. Tie the latex and 36” foil bouquet to the tabs and helium fill the special shape foil. Tie on curling ribbon to the neck of the special shape foil and tie it securely to the Adhesive Tabs at the top of the 9” (23cm) foil leaving a space of 12" between the shape foil and the 9" foil.
8. Add the remaining 5” (12cm) cluster at the top of the small foil to cover the mechanics where the ribbon is tied.
CONCLUSION
This design technique can easily be changed for a variety of uses by using other themes or occasion design foil and latex balloons in place of the Halloween balloons.

Instructions for the

"Chain of Love Centerpiece"
By Jan Iiams, CBA
INTRODUCTION:
Make a delicate statement with this long-lasting centerpiece. Its curvy lines add a dash of rhythm and motion to this softly glowing arrangement. Though it’s filled with helium, it’s easy to save on your costs by inflating with a money-saving mixture of helium and air.
APPLICATIONS:
• Wedding
• Anniversary
• New Year’s Eve
• Prom
• Quinceañera
• With a simple color change, any elegant occasion
PRO TIP:
Save money by filling the balloon with 40% air and 60% helium. With Ultra
HI-FLOAT treatment the balloon will still float for more than a week and saves on
helium costs.

Materials and Equipment:
16 x 15cm (6”) Pearl Ivory LINK-O-LOON®s
1 x 91cm (36”) Crystal Clear printed Betallatex round
2 x 12cm (5”) Metallic Gold Betallatex rounds
1 x 12cm (5”) Pearl Ivory Betallatex round
3 Silk Flowers
#9 Gold ribbon
2 heavy bouquet weights
Ultra HI-FLOAT
Iridescent soft edge confetti
Glue Dots

Step By Step:
1. Air fill two Metallic Gold 12cm (5”) rounds and one 12cm (5”) Pearl White round in a variety of sizes from 8cm (3”) to 10cm (4”) and tie the necks together to form a small grouping of balloons. Tie the balloon weights underneath being sure to hide the weights under the balloons.
2. Create a chain of air-filled 15cm (6”) LINK-O-LOON®s sized to 12cm (5”) tying tip to tail and set aside temporarily.
3. Treat a 91cm (36”) Betallatex Crystal Clear print balloon with Ultra HI-FLOAT and spread the liquid around the inside evenly, making sure the treatment covers up to the middle of the neck where the balloon will be tied. Make sure the entire inside is covered but not up to the edge of the neck where it could become sticky when tying.
4. Gently blow into the balloon to make sure the sides do not touch, and drizzle in about 1/2 cup soft edged iridescent confetti. Pinch the neck closed and shake the balloon to make the confetti adhere to the inside surface. IMPORTANT: For a soft sparkling effect, do not rub the confetti inside the balloon before inflating since it will only make the confetti stick together and not evenly onto the surface of the balloon.
5. Helium-fill the balloon fully and tie the neck. Tie fine monofilament to the neck of the balloon on one end and tie the other end to the weighted cluster of balloons after adjusting the height to a minimum of 24” from the cluster. This will insure a clear sight line for guests across the table from each other.
6. Place glue dots on the sides of four top LINK-O-LOON®s in the chain and press them firmly against the surface of the 91cm (36”) balloon to make them stick in place in a spiral formation as shown.
7. Coax the chain downward into a spiral and tie the last LINK-O-LOON® chain to the weighted cluster at the bottom.
8. Complete the design by securing a few loops of metallic ribbon into the bottom cluster and add a silk flower to the bow. Create another section of looped ribbon with flower to the neck of the balloon and a small ribbon accent to the top balloon in the LINK-O-LOON® chain.
CONCLUSION
This centerpiece is perfect for rooms with taller ceilings so the décor space doesn’t overwhelm the design. Make sure the table is large enough to visually balance the arrangement. A cocktail table is too small for instance. Keep sightlines open so people can see each other across the table. The space between 14” and 24” from the table top should allow people to see each other across the table easily.
