“Floral Delight Arrangement"
By Linda Bruce, CBA
Labor: About 15 Minutes
Helium: About 1.2 cu. ft. |
|
Materials:
|
|
| •
2-24" (61cm) “Leaves Flower” Double Bubble
Balloons (68806) |
| •
9-5" (13cm) Lime Green Latex Balloons (48954) |
| •
9-5" Rose Latex Balloons (43600) |
| •
4-160Q Lime Green Latex Balloons (88353) |
| •
2 160Q Yellow Latex Balloons (88348) |
| •
Sand Weight |
| |
| Tips: |
| •
Be sure the Bubble Balloon is inflated until there are no more
wrinkles in the seams. As soon as the wrinkles disappear, you
can stop inflating. Visit qualatexbubbles.com to learn more
about proper inflation techniques for Bubbles. |
| •
Use other Double Bubbles, like the 24" “Birthday
Twinkling Stars,” with coordinating latex to create a
custom design for multiple occasions. |
| |
| Instructions: |
| 1.
Make a 5-balloon cluster using fully-inflated 5" Lime Green
balloons and attach a small sand weight. |
| 2.
Make a 5-balloon cluster using 5" Rose balloons sized to
3"” (7.6cm). Tie into the Lime Green cluster, making
sure they nest in the larger cluster. |
| 3.
Create three Lime Green Curly 160Qs, leaving ½"
uninflated on each. Tie each one separately, and set aside. |
| 4.
Make two Yellow 160Q flowers. To do this, inflate a Yellow 160Q,
leaving 4" uninflated. Starting at the knot end, make a
2" loop twist. Repeat until you have five loop twists.
Twist the remainder of the balloon, deflate, and tie. Trim the
excess. Arrange the loop twists to create flower petals. Repeat
to make a second Yellow 160Q flower. Set the flowers aside. |
| 5.
Inflate a 4-balloon cluster using fully-inflated 5" Lime
Green balloons and set aside. Make a second 4-balloon cluster
using 5" Rose balloons sized to 3" and set aside. |
| 6.
Helium inflate the “Leaves Flower” Bubble according
to package instructions. |
| 7.
Wrap the Lime Green 4-balloon cluster tightly around the neck
of the Bubble. Secure by wrapping the Bubble’s attached
ribbon around the cluster. |
| 8.
Tie the Rose 4-balloon cluster to the Lime Green 4-balloon cluster
by using a neck from one of the balloons in the Rose cluster. |
| 9.
Tie two Curly 160Qs together at the uninflated ends. Attach
the knot end of one of these to the Rose cluster at the neck
of the Bubble. Tie the knot end of the second Curly 160Q to
the Rose cluster at the base of the bouquet. |
| 10.
Now that your Bubble and base are connected with Curly 160Qs,
carefully cut the ribbon from the neck of the Bubble. |
| 11.
Wrap a Yellow 160Q flower around the point where the two Curly
160Qs are tied together to hide your mechanics. |
| 12.
Unfold the second “Leaves Flower” Bubble. Carefully
cut around the valves of the balloon, freeing the inside flower
balloon from the outside Bubble. |
| 13.
Using a hand pump, slowly inflate the interior flower balloon
using Valve B. Don’t inflate it too tightly. Once the
balloon is inflated, tie an uninflated Lime Green 160Q just
above the seal and then wrap it into the base. |
| 14.
With the remaining Curly 160Q, make a ½" bubble
at the end opposite the knot. Pull the ½" bubble
into the center of the remaining Yellow flower. Tie the knot
of the Curly 160Q into the base. |
