Instructions for the

“Dazzling Diamonds"
By Cam Woody, CBA, and Kathy O’Brien, CBA,
of Pioneer Balloon Company

Labor: About 20 Minutes

Materials:

9 - 40" “Starpoint Metallic Silver” Microfoil® Shapes (15707)

Monofilament Line
Rubber Bands

Tips:

•Use this design as a backdrop or hang several around the room to fill large spaces.

• Add more Decor Shapes as needed to create a larger pattern. Combining “Taper” Decor Shapes will create additional unique designs.

• Accessorize the Microfoils by adding eye-catching new Color Curls™ to the points.

• Add value by wrapping small 5" latex clusters around the points of the Microfoils.

• Cut off the neck of a latex balloon and use it as a rubber band.

Instructions:
1. Start with the Starpoint Shape that will be in the center of the diamond pattern. Bring the points of three more Starpoints together with the top point of the first so that all four points meet. Use a rubber band to gather the points together, avoiding a bulky knot.
2. Repeat Step 1 to connect three more Starpoints at the bottom point of the center Shape.
3. Add another Starpoint on each side of the center Shape to complete the diamond pattern. Use a rubber band to gather the four points where they all meet on either side of the center Shape.
4. For the outer edge of the diamond pattern where only two points are meeting, simply tie them together using the excess foil on each point.
5. To hang from the ceiling, tightly tie a piece of monofilament to the Shape at the top of the design.

Instructions for the

"HO HO Arch"
By Jan Iiams, CBA
INTRODUCTION:
This delightful holiday arch is deceptively easy to assemble and has a much higher visual value that will capture your customer’s interest in a big way.
APPLICATIONS:
• Backdrop for Holiday Parties
• Backdrop for Santa Chair
• Table Arch
• Merchandising Display
PRO TIP:
Add Ultra HI-FLOAT™ to helium balloons if the design needs to last more than a single day. To add more float time to double stuffed balloons, pre-stretch them by double stuffing, then filling with air and releasing it before adding Ultra HI-FLOAT™ treatment and filling with helium.
MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT:
12 - 12" (30cm) crystal clear LINK-O-LOONS®
20 - 11" (28cm) printed latex
4 - 18" foils
4 - Megaloon letters
1 - Megaloon shape
60 - 5" (12cm) latex
4 - Un-inflated 260 balloons
2 - Heavy bouquet weights
Clik-Clik Adhesive Balloon Tabs

Step By Step:
1. Air fill two 11" latex prints and tie the necks together to form a duplet. Create a second duplet and twist the necks together to form a cluster of four. Tie a heavy balloon weight under the duplet with a section of un-inflated 260. Create a second identical weighted cluster.
2. Place two Adhesive Balloon Tabs at the top edge of each 18" foil which will create a secure place to tie the arch to. Air fill the foil balloons and tie a section of un-inflated 260 balloon low on the necks and tie each one upright onto the middle of the clusters leaving a little stretch to accommodate a 5" cluster that will be added later.
3. Double stuff 11" printed balloons into 12" crystal clear LINK-O-LOONS® by inserting a straw into the 11" balloon and gently pulling the LINK-O-LOON® over it until the necks are aligned.
4. Helium fill a 12" double stuffed LINK-O-LOON® and tie the neck to the top of the Adhesive Balloon Tab at the top of one of the foils. Add six more LINK-O-LOONS®, tying tip to tail to create a chain. Repeat to create a chain of six on the second weighted foil. Join the chains together at the top to form an arch.
5. Create fifteen air filled 5" clusters and wrap them in place to cover the joined LINK-O-LOONS® and at the top and bottom of the foil balloons as shown.
6. Helium fill Megaloon letter shapes and candy cane shape foils and tie them onto the arch with sections of un-inflated 260. Add Adhesive Balloons Tabs if tie points don’t match the joined LINK-O-LOONS®.
7. Helium fill 18" foils and tie in place on the arch with sections of 260s to complete. Adjust the foil balloons to face forward when you set the arch in place.
CONCLUSION
This design is perfect for holiday events and when using this same design technique, the arch can be adapted to a variety of occasions. Make it personal with number Megaloons for graduation, New Years Eve, and numbered birthdays.
